Training

Training is not only important, it’s essential for future growth in the industry. Properly trained employees and subcontractors are safer, work faster, stay motivated and make fewer mistakes. They are also easier to recruit and retain. Training leads to qualifications like NVQ's and CSR and registered cards. Not only do they prove to you and your clients that your workers are competent professionals but with more and more clients and contractors insisting on a fully qualified workforce they're becoming essential to get on site at all.  The CITB NI Training Grant Scheme offers support to a wide range of training and qualifications from apprentices through to the existing workforce including management and administration.

Want to find a training course? We have a fully functional Training Directory which allows you to search effectively for the course suitable for you.

Please note:
If a provider and course is not on the training directory grant will be with held and may be declined.
It is the responsibility of the employer to ensure the training provider complies with our request to complete and return the training declaration forms.

Training in Partnership

Training in Partnership Grants fall into one of two categories, they are either directed at industry federations /representative bodies or are as the result of training identified and procured by CITB NI on behalf of the industry.

Both forms of Training in Partnership Grants are designed to directly fund training delivered to employers at little or no cost to encourage strategically important training or to improve performance of the industry in relation to future needs.
